FAQ

Where are you located?

SASS Rescue is not a “shelter” or a “pound”. We do not have a location where you can come and see our adoptable dogs. They are fostered in our own homes. We will be happy to schedule a time for you to meet a dog/s and help match you with the perfect canine companion. Profiles and pictures of our adoptable dogs can be found here.

What does the Adoption Fee / Donations cover?

The Adoption Fee covers spay/neutering, pet meds, vaccinations, micro chipping, food, bedding, etc. All remaining expenses are paid either by Donations or out of our own pockets.

Are you a Non-Profit?

We are a 501c3 Non Profit Rescue. All donations are tax deductible

How long does it take to place a dog?

We keep our foster dogs until a suitable home can be found. This may take days, weeks, or months depending on viable inquiries we receive, economic conditions, etc. In unusual circumstances such as a hoarder that has been raided, tornados, floods, etc., where there are many dogs in our area that need help, the time-frame for finding all the dogs homes can be very long. We do not give-up on these dogs or put them back into the shelters. We keep them for as long as it takes to find a good home.
